Michael T. Goode was born and raised in Virginia, attended Virginia schools, obtaining an undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University, a J.D. from University of Richmond Law School in 1970, and passed the Virginia Bar the same year. He is a former Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney and Federal Government attorney. His practice is devoted soley to criminal and traffic cases.

Most criminal and traffic cases are settled before trial by reaching an agreement with the Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney. It may be in a client's best interests to plead guilty to a lesser charge or accept a lesser punishment than is likely to be imposed if the case goes to trial.
